What is the best time to Go?
In our opinion, late October through early May are the best times to visit. From late May through early October the humidity is highest, as is the probability of rain. Christmas time, Easter week, and the months of July and August are very crowded with tourists, and flights are difficult to book.

Do I need a passport or visa?
If you are a U.S. or Canadian citizen you only need a valid passport. Citizens of other countries should check with the Mexican consulate.

Do I need shots?
No special precautions need to be taken when traveling in Mexico. It is recommended, however, that you drink only bottled water, which is available everywhere.

How about money?
The easiest way to get pesos is by using ATMs in Mexico, which are found in almost all cities. Credit cards are accepted in hotels, most restaurants and most stores. We do not recommend traveler’s checks, as they are harder to cash.
