cities and beautiful Caribbean beaches.
Bordering Guatemala, Mexico’s State of Chiapas has mountains,
rivers and jungles. In its remote Indian villages people still
wear traditional costumes, live in grass-roofed huts and plant
cornfields on near-vertical hillsides. The beautiful mountain town
of San Cristóbal de las Casas, magnificent Agua Azul falls,
the jungle-draped ruins of Palenque, and spectacular Cañon
del Sumidero are some of the highlights of this delightful region.
