Located off the coast of Ecuador,
the Galapagos Islands were long a stopover for explorers, pirates
and whalers. In 1835 they were visited by British naturalist
Charles Darwin who, pondering how each island hosted unique species,
developed his Theory of Evolution. Still today, in this beautiful
archipelago, live a myriad of wildlife found nowhere else on
earth—giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, flightless
cormorants, marine iguanas, and more. Here, in this protected
environment where they have no fear of humans, we can approach
them up close, to marvel and photograph.
Galapagos Adventures
Since 1983, we have been taking adventurous people to exciting
destinations around the world. Our groups are small and personal.
In the Galapagos, we cruise the islands aboard a 16-passenger
yacht, accompanied by a licensed, naturalist guide. We have plenty
of time to hike, snorkel, and relax—and the food aboard
the yacht is delicious.
