Books about Copper Canyon

Our book. We wrote it, we think it’s the best. Beautiful picture book on the Tarahumara. A sociological study of the Tarahumara. Very good. A reference for backpacking in the Copper Canyon. We recommend reading this book if you are traveling to Batopilas.

Pancho Villa, an intimacy

(no image available)
An easy reading book on Pancho Villa. Biography of Pancho Villa published by Stanford University Press. A different view of Pancho Villa, written by his wife, Luz Corral Villa. The fascinating diary of a woman who traveled the route from El Paso to Chihuahua in 1846. Anthropologist Carl Lumholtz wrote about the Tarahumara in the 1890’s.

The author spent a year living with the Tarahumara. The Menonnite and Mormon colonies of Chihuahua. A short easy to read history of Mexico. A good general guide book to Mexico. National Geographic anthology featuring an essay about trips to Copper Canyon.
